Children TV Shows
I have been looking at children's tv shows such as:
Hannah Montana - Sky This show reinforces the job every young girl wants to do, become a popstar. Hannah is beautiful smart and does everythign to impress her crush.
Kim Possible - Sky This show shows a young girl, at shcool whos your typical cheerleader, pretty girl with lots of friends, but is also there to save the world as some sort of super hero.
The Simpsons - Sky This shows a typical family, and various other characters showing all kinds of stereotypes, such as geeks, bully, losers, populars etc.
I have also been lokoing at movies such as:
The School of Rock - Paramount - again showing all different stereotypes and them all persuing the dream that everyone wants to do, become stars.

Question 1 - intro
My specific area of research is difficult to find - although I am investigating gender - most of the research is about children identifying gender roles in adults and whether they can spot the difference between male and female roles. The internet was not a reliable source as it did not find the information i required.
